All child care providers in Michigan (licensed and license-exempt) must complete an annual health and safety refresher training. Created with the Michigan Department of Education (MDE) and Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA), this course focuses on best practices around health and safety topics for the child care environment.
In this course, you will revisit the following health and safety topics:
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid for Infants, Children, and Adults (does not include certification)
- Recognition and Reporting of Child Abuse and Neglect
- Prevention of Shaken Baby Syndrome, Abusive Head Trauma, and Child Maltreatment
