Social emotional learning, or SEL, is the idea that education should go beyond academics. In today’s world, social skills and emotional development aren’t ancillary to an excellent education; they’re a crucial part of it.

But the implementation process goes beyond programming. Communicating the value of social and emotional learning is a vital part of the process. It’s changing the culture of the district. It’s selling SEL.
