About This Course
Discerning how and when to use assessments to meet the needs of every learner is an essential part of planning. Each student has different learning needs, with some requiring re-teaching, others needing reinforcement, and others yet remaining unchallenged. In this course, you’ll review common assessment types and explore how two in particular — formative and ipsative assessments — stand out as being particularly useful in addressing the needs of your special population students.
In this course, you will:
- Review how different types of assessments are commonly used in classroom settings.
- Explore how formative assessments can provide you with immediate feedback and inform the direction of your instruction.
- Recognize how ipsative assessments offer an alternative means for measuring individual student progress.
- Apply your learning and share ideas with other participants.
