The AI Implementers Symposium is designed for district leadership teams who are ready to move from exploration to implementation. Through hands-on clinics, collaborative planning, and conversations with peers, you’ll leave with practical strategies and a clearer path forward for your district.
Bring your team
The symposium is designed as a team-based experience, giving you and your colleagues the opportunity to work together on decisions, systems, and next steps to support AI implementation in your district.
We recommend attending with a team of 8–10 people, with a maximum of 10 participants per team. If you’re interested in attending individually, applications will also be considered through a review process, with participation options available to those not attending as part of a district team.

Clinic Menu
This menu lists the 50-minute clinics offered during the three clinic blocks at each one-day regional symposium. Clinics are designed for districts already past the on-ramp — districts with policy, guidance, and student expectations in place — who now need a structured chance to learn alongside peers, pick up new frameworks, and identify what to take back home for deeper work.
Each clinic is a focused, high-density session: a framework introduced, a tool demonstrated, a protocol practiced, or a peer comparison run. Participants leave each clinic with a concrete artifact — a worksheet, framework, scoping document, or checklist — that supports follow-up work at the district level.
Clinic Tracks
Clinics are organized into four tracks. Team members may freely mix clinics across tracks based on their role and interest; nothing requires a member to stay in one track for the day.

B | Curriculum & Instruction | Curriculum directors, instructional coaches, and teacher leaders refining unit design, assessment, and feedback practice. |
C | Workflow & Operations | Operations leaders, central office staff, and principals reclaiming time through AI-augmented workflows. |
D | Advanced Integration (AI 301) | Tech directors, lead implementers, and trainer-of-trainers ready to move from pilot to scale. |
How teams use this menu
Each district team of eight to ten members will split across the three clinic blocks. Because clinic choice is free, we recommend a brief team huddle the morning of the event — built into the opening session — for the team to coordinate coverage.
During the closing session
Each team reassembles for the one-hour closing block. Members bring the walk-away artifacts from their three clinics. The team uses a structured protocol to identify the two or three priorities they will commit to in the 30 days after the event.

Two to three covering Track B (Curriculum & Instruction)
One to two covering Track C (Workflow & Operations)
Two to three covering Track D (Advanced Integration / AI 301)
A note on clinic depth
50-minute clinics are designed for framework acquisition, demonstration, and applied practice — not deep document production. Districts wanting structured time to fully rewrite a policy or redesign a unit should plan to use the post-event window (and optional MV follow-up consulting) for that work. Each clinic walk-away is engineered to support that next-step work.

The Innovators Retreat brings participating districts back together to reflect on what they've learned, share progress, and tackle new challenges with peers and Michigan Virtual AI Strategists. It's an opportunity to strengthen connections and continue building momentum.
