A large part of a principal’s job function is managing human resources topics on the part of his or her staff. This course will guide you in understanding relevant and evolving human resources matters including issues related to continuous school improvement and understanding building finance. You will cover budget creation, understanding Title funds, developing master schedules and interpreting employee contracts.
In this course, you will:
- Interview an administrator with master schedule building experience,
- Review hiring practices and processes,
- Identify how federal funding impacts school finance and the differences between Title I, IIa, and III, and
- Demonstrate your knowledge during a mock interview for a school principal position.
