This micro-credential will help you fulfill your role as district leader by using resources and best practices to organize and structure effective board meetings for all parties involved. You will provide evidence of your board meeting preparation and its OMA alignment that will help you and the board ensure legal compliance and assist with conducting necessary meetings efficiently and in cooperation with the public.
In this learning experience, you will:
- Prepare a well-organized board meeting packet suitable for the president and board members,
- Create a board meeting action plan that aims to continuously improve board meeting practices, and
- Demonstrate that all of your district’s board meetings comply with the Open Meetings Act.
