Kameron joined Michigan Virtual as an iEducator in 2017. Originally from Utah, he received a bachelor’s degree in secondary education from Utah State University, with certifications in ELA and Spanish. He is passionate about language and helping students develop critical literacy skills to allow them to become more empathetic, more productive and better-informed members of their communities, the nation and the world. Before joining the Michigan Virtual team, Kameron taught Spanish to students kindergarten through 8th grade for a small charter school, as well as high school English. Kameron spent two years living and working in Spain from 2008 to 2010, immersing himself in the language and culture. He looks forward to sharing his love for travel and for Spain in particular with his wife and two beautiful daughters when the kids are a bit older.
